Sony has announced today that Ratchet & Clank will bring their adventures to the PlayStation Network on August 21st and Blu-ray on September 12th. Both versions will be priced at a wallet friendly £9.99. Read on for the full PR spiel.
“This hilarious follow-up to up to Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction will take you into a space-age pirate world on a quest to find booty – and Ratchet’s missing shipmate Clank – battling hordes of futuristic enemies on the way.
The comically destructive mini-adventure – available at a wallet-friendly mini-price – challenges you to battle shiploads of deadly enemies, negotiate the treacherous Viper Caverns and survive the dark caves of Hoolefar Island to find the Fulcrum Star, a lost treasure that will point you to Clank’s whereabouts. You’ll mix your own bottles of rum, manipulate shadows, play pirate songs – and you’ll find allies in trusty pirate pal Rusty Pete and Talwyn, who’ll guide you through dark caves and help battle shiploads of deadly enemy troops. Your destiny is a confrontation with the Undead Robotic Pirates and a new archenemy – the evil Captain Angstrom Darkwater, a swaggering, surly buccaneer who was already killed once by Ratchet &Clank nemesis Captain Slag.
Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty contains up to five hours of action-packed gameplay in a tiny treasure-chest of an adventure that the entire family will enjoy. If you’re already a fan of the Ratchet & Clank series, you’re bound to love Quest for Booty. If you haven’t yet experienced Ratchet & Clank, it’s the perfect introduction to a whole world of hilarious combat developed by the team at Insomniac Games. Following in the footsteps of nine critically-acclaimed titles, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty is available on Blu-ray Disc later this year; for now, though, the only way to play is to download it from PLAYSTATION®Network – so log on soon, jump aboard, and begin a quest that everyone will love.”
