Sony is set to capitalise on the popularity of ABBA musical movie Mamma Mia with an officially licensed SingStar game of the Swedish band.
The title is due for release on PS3 in Europe and over the pond in the US this Christmas, and represents a ‘window of exclusivity for ABBA disc-based titles on PlayStation until 2009’, according to Sony.
Wannabe ABBA starts will get to sing the likes of ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’, ‘Waterloo’ and ‘Dancing Queen’.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with ABBA to bring their tracks to SingStar this Christmas,” said David Reeves, President, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
“The popularity of this iconic band continues year after year, and we know SingStar fans will be delighted to add this selection of classics tracks to their SingStar collection.”
