Speculation about the Bioshock Sequel is floating around the tubes today about a possible online multiplayer for Bioshock 2. Could adding multiplayer functions to such a title enhance or destroy the atmosphere the game is gloriously famous for?
While nothing have been confirmed (or denied) by 2K Marin yet, the team are looking for ‘Lead Multiplayer Designers’ to add to their ranks. The job role also recommends that they are familiar with the Bioshock franchise.
Interesting indeed. I can’t really see a multiplayer aspect working in the world of Bioshock, sure it’s an FPS but the story gave me this huge sense of loneliness and seeing a bunch of people throwing bee’s at each other online could potentially ruin that. Wait.. throwing bee’s at people’s faces could be awesome! We will just have to wait and see.
