DICE set us all a challenge and that challenge was to get to 43 million kills to unlock the forth map ‘Coral Sea’. Even with all the server issues the game had, sorry I mean still has, gamers have managed to pull through and complete this challenge.
It comes as no shock to see that Xbox 360 users have dominated the Battlefield 1943 race to 43 million kills. Playstation 3 users have only managed to net 24 million so far which really goes to show the difference in communities.
So who got the 43 millionth kill? According to the official websiteit was James (jkasapi) from Peterborough, England.
It was James’ virtual bullet that registered the 43,000,000th kill, un-locking the Coral Sea map and Air Superiority mode for all Xbox users.
For his trouble, James wins a pair of official 1943 sunglasses, a 1943 t-shirt, and custom Battlefield sneakers! Congrats James!
Don’t despair though PS3 gamers! You can still net a prize for getting the 43rd million kill so get crackin’.
