Gears of War 3 has been officially announced by Epic Games in the form of an announcement trailer. Titled Ashes to Ashes, the trailer, viewable below, reveals some new details and hints at what the game will feature when it releases:
The trailer displays the typical run-down landscapes you’d expect from Gears of War as returning COG member: Dom chainsaws his way through a number of statues. A locust appears – aiming towards the downed hero, as the ever-so-recognisable: Marcus and Dom come to his aid, along with a female COG soldier. Bullets fly as what appears to be a new enemy appears from an emergency hole.
Epic Games are sticking to their guns regarding the release date of Gears of War 3 with the title penned for an April 2011 release.
