We thought we’d like to share with you some press shots of what looks like the final design for Microsoft’s newly named Kinect peripheral. Donning a now slick glossy casing and an angular diamond-like base, the Kinect unit should stand proudamongstyour tele or home entertainment system.
Three dominating sensors line the front side of the peripheral, including a stereo lens to capture the depth of your position. There maybe more discrete sensors that are much less obvious here, such as the micophone for instance.

There were no rear shots released to the press, so we don’t know how well ‘connected’ this device is. Such as if the power plugs into the base or the unit that sits on top. No doubt in the next 24hrs we will find out more as we go hands-on later today. So keep an eye out for our impressions, both on the site and via Twitter.
Let us know what you think of the design as well as what you’d like us to check out in our hands-on session later today in the comments below.
