With Sonic Adventure already on XBLA and Crazy Taxi soon to join it, SEGA have announced that two more Dreamcast titles are also heading our way, namely Space Channel 5 Part 2 and SEGA Bass Fishing.
Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA had this to say on the matter: “The release of these games marks SEGA’s ongoing effort to bring its best-sellers from the Dreamcast era to the latest consoles. We want to enable a new generation of players to experience some of the most celebrated titles our video game history has to offer, while at the same time appealing to our enthusiastic and much appreciated community of fans.”
Space Channel 5 Part 2 is a rhythm action game where you control Ulala, a news reporter for Space Channel 5 as she tries to defeat the mysterious Purge and Shadowin. The game was only ever release on the Dreamcast in Japan, though it was later ported to the PlayStation 2 in the West.
SEGA Bass Fishing arrived with a splash in 2001, along with an official fishing reel controller. The game allows you to cast a line in a number of different serene locations, but can it possibly be as much fun using a joypad? Perhaps SEGA will go the whole distance and Kinectise it.
So Space Cats, are you ready? Let’s go … Up Down Up Down Chu Chu Chu.
