Rumour time! According to the new Games Master magazine the Microsoft’s internal Halo Studio 343 Industries is working on a Halo: Combat Evolved remake. The remake is rumoured to be developed to run on the Halo: Reach engine and arrive ahead of Halo 4 due late 2012.
Such a date seems fitting, as Halo fanatics have noticed that the remade Halo: Combat Evolved could release on the original’s tenth anniversary of November 2011.
With Microsoft having previously expressed their interest in an annual release model for the series, it certainly looks to be a promising rumour that’ll no doubt get fans of the serious, and its beautiful beginning, eagerly anticipating an official confirmation. I wonder if this time around there will be a PC port, to make up for the horrific mistake that was the originals.
