Development on the next SSX game is well underway, and will bring the adrenaline-soaked series back to its roots, according to brand new reports.
An insider reportedly told Kotaku that EA Canada has been working on PS3 and 360 versions of SSX for the past two years, before elaborating on key gameplay changes.
According to Kotaku, the next SSX will take the series “back to its roots” and will feature controls that are “similar to EA’s Skate franchise, using a controller’s right analogue stick to perform tricks.”
Development of the game is reportedly being handled by EA Canada and members of the Skate team, meaning this could be the most realistic SSX yet.
Earlier this year, Electronic Arts registered domain names for the SSX franchise, indicating that the next installment in the series could be called SSX Deadly Descent or SSX First Descent.
