It’s safe to say that the Famas Assault Rifle is the weapon of choice by every other gamer on Black Ops. It’s quick to get, accurate, powerful and re-centers very quickly.
Sadly for all you Famas fans Treyarch Game Design Director David Vonderhaar posted the fllowing Tweet, “Nerfed the Famas in next update. Srsly.”
The changes to the popular rifle include tweaks on ADS raise time, hip fire accuracy reduction, and slightly slower re-center speed. The gun will also become less accurate due to increased gun kick. The fire rate, damage, range, and magazine size will remain the same though.
The Black Ops community have been wanting the Famas to be dumbed down for a while now, but this is not the reason for the update says Vonderhaar. “It’s not the mob,” he explained. “I’ve been thinking about editing this gun for a long time.”
With the Map Pack coming out on June 28th you can expect to see the latest update being released before then, along with the Nerfed Famas.
