The BBC has always said that it would it “love” to launch its TV service iPlayer on the Xbox 360.
It is already available to gamers on the PS3 and Nintendo Wii and yet Microsoft have yet to get it on their console.
The main reason for this delay is that the BBC want to give the player to gamers for free, nothing, zero. Sadly it seems that is the sole cause for Microsoft not agreeing to a deal, maybe because they want to charge gamers for the service instead.

Daniel Danker, BBC’s general manager was quoted as saying, “We want to be on as many devices as possible. Of course we’d love to be on the Xbox because we want to get the iPlayer to as many licence payers as possible, which is pretty much everyone in the UK. “
“We want to be on the cheapest level that you can have on Xbox, and not only for [Xbox Live] Gold subscribers.”
