Noel Gallagher: ‘Brutal TV and video games’ to blame for riots

Former Oasis frontman, Noel Gallagher, has blamed “brutal TV and video games” for the riots that took place last week.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz after an estimated £270,000 worth of clothes was looted from his shop in Manchester, Noel Gallagher said:

“I can’t understand where their energy for these riots is coming from. We live in this age of violence – and I don’t care what other people say: Brutal TV and brutal videogames are a reason for this pointless violence as well.”

Popular video game series, Grand Theft Auto, has already come under fire for ‘encouraging’ rioters.
