MAVRIX 1.0 Launches on Xbox Series X|S with New Head-to-Head Multiplayer Mode

MAVRIX 1.0 is launching today on Xbox Series X and Series S, introducing a head-to-head multiplayer mode to the mountain biking open world game. The update also brings weekend MAVRIX Cup events featuring exclusive leaderboard competitions and unique cosmetic rewards. The title is available day one on Xbox Game Pass.

According to Cascade Interactive, MAVRIX’s new multiplayer mode enables up to five players to compete simultaneously on racetracks and slopestyle trails. Players can invite friends or join matchmade groups, racing through diverse terrain while receiving live commentary from Red Bull’s Rob Warner.

Head-to-Head Racing and Slopestyle Competitions

The head-to-head racing mode crowns the first rider to the bottom of the trail as the winner, with gameplay perspectives including first-person, third-person or a rear-facing camera view. Players select between downhill and enduro bike types, each with distinct handling characteristics that influence performance on different trails.

The slopestyle mode divides trails into sectors where players compete head-to-head to win the most sectors by executing tricks and combos. All riders start each sector simultaneously, providing a direct comparison of skills and scoring. Rob Warner’s live commentary tracks position changes based on player performance and crashes throughout the event.

MAVRIX Cups and Open World Features

In addition to real-time multiplayer modes, MAVRIX 1.0 introduces weekend Cup events, run as standalone challenges with their own exclusive leaderboards. These events feature rare cosmetic prizes that can only be earned through participation and success in the Cups.

Spanning 100 square kilometres, MAVRIX offers over 30 official trails that capture authentic mountain bike disciplines, with racetracks focused on fastest times and slopestyle trails emphasising trick scoring. The game utilises a physics engine designed to replicate realistic bike handling, suspension, and controls tailored for the Xbox platform.

During its year-long early access period, MAVRIX allowed solo competition with global leaderboards measuring times and scores. The 1.0 release marks a shift to integrated multiplayer races, enhancing the social and competitive aspects of the game on Xbox Series X|S.

MAVRIX 1.0 can be accessed immediately on Xbox Series X and Series S consoles and is included in Xbox Game Pass from launch, providing subscribers with seamless access to its new multiplayer content.
