GTA 6 Gameplay and Map Leak Online Ahead of November Release

Grand Theft Auto 6 has reportedly suffered a significant leak with gameplay videos and a full map image surfacing online, as reported by IGN. The leak is allegedly connected to a group named CyberLeek, which has issued threats against Rockstar Games and other publishers concerning the move towards all-digital game releases.

Two clips claimed to be from GTA 6 show the protagonist Jason engaging in activities like playing basketball and driving while interacting with an NPC. Alongside these, an image purportedly revealing the entire game map has also been shared online. The source and age of these assets remain unconfirmed, though they appear tied to a cryptocurrency and website associated with CyberLeek.

CyberLeek’s Demands and Threats Against Publishers

The group’s website contains a manifesto criticising the shift away from physical game discs, citing GTA 6 and Ubisoft’s The Crew as examples within a broader context of consumer dissatisfaction. CyberLeek condemns practices such as digital-only preorders, the introduction of single-player DLC perceived as deceptive, and the removal of paid single-player content. The statement warns other publishers that they could become future targets if they do not alter their approaches.

Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two Interactive have not officially confirmed the authenticity of these leaks but have been active in attempting to remove related content from social media platforms. Meanwhile, attention surrounding the linked cryptocurrency has surged, with concerns raised over potential scams connected to the memecoin promoted in relation to the leak.

Impact on GTA 6’s Upcoming Launch

This leak comes just days before the release of Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look, a timed Netflix exclusive scheduled for 27 August. After a six-hour window of exclusivity on Netflix, the extended gameplay footage will be available on platforms including YouTube.

GTA 6 is set for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026. This is the latest in a series of breaches affecting the game, including a 2022 incident where over 90 videos and images from an early development build appeared online. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously expressed frustration about leaks but maintained they have not harmed the development process.

In April 2026, Rockstar confirmed a data breach affecting company information but stated this had no impact on either the organisation or players. The multiple leaks underline ongoing challenges for developers and publishers protecting high-profile titles before launch.

IGN has requested comment from both Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive regarding the latest incident but no response has been provided. Players awaiting GTA 6’s release can expect official content to continue rolling out ahead of November.
