Game Informer will publish an extensive cover story on Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 6 on 29 September 2026, showcasing new details and screenshots from the highly anticipated open-world title.
The September issue is headlined by the two protagonists—Jason and Lucia—depicted in a stylised cover image featuring them in an armed vehicle. According to Game Informer, the feature spans 14 pages and includes exclusive interviews with Rockstar that provide further insights into the game’s development and design.
The cover story promises a dozen new screenshots, offering players a fresh look at the game’s environments, characters, and action sequences. This marks one of the most substantial information drops on GTA 6 since its official announcement, catering directly to the engaged console audience awaiting updates on the next entry in the franchise.
While Rockstar has confirmed the presence of these two protagonists, detailed gameplay mechanics and release timing remain undisclosed. The upcoming feature is expected to clarify some of these elements, enhancing understanding of what GTA 6 will offer on current-generation consoles such as PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
This upcoming issue could prove essential reading for those following GTA 6, particularly given the franchise’s history of platform-specific improvements and integration with services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, though no subscription details have yet been revealed.
The Game Informer issue with this GTA 6 cover story will be available from Tuesday, 29 September 2026, providing one of the first deep dives into the game beyond the initial promotional materials.
