Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be released on Xbox PC on November 18, 2026, with Xbox Play Anywhere support. This will enable players to access the game across Xbox Series X|S consoles, Windows 11 PCs, and compatible handheld devices without extra cost, syncing save data, downloadable content, and achievements between platforms.
Currently available on Xbox Series X|S, this turn-based RPG expands the Monster Hunter universe by focusing on the Riders who forge bonds with monsters. Players take on the role of the prince or princess of Azuria, the nation’s lone Rathalos Rider, alongside Eleanor, the princess of Vermeil. Together, they journey into forbidden lands to uncover truths about their world.
Xbox Play Anywhere Support and Game Features
The inclusion of Xbox Play Anywhere means progress and content carry seamlessly between Xbox and PC versions. The game features evolving turn-based combat and a Habitat Restoration system, which allows players to return monsters to the wild and alter ecosystem rankings. After completing the main story, players can attempt a high-difficulty final boss battle, unlocking Royal versions of monsters and encountering challenging Royal Invasive Monsters and Calamitous Elder Dragons.
Additional content includes the DLC side story ‘Rudy’s Story,’ available with the Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and Deluxe Kit. This DLC explores the origins of Rudy, a companion who travels alongside the protagonist as a Royal Palico.
Monster Hunter Stories Series and Anniversary Events
October 8, 2026, marks the 10th anniversary of the Monster Hunter Stories series. To commemorate this milestone, Capcom is highlighting all three titles, including Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Both earlier entries will be accessible during Free Play Days on Xbox from October 22 to October 25, allowing players to experience the series’ narrative themes focused on bonds between humans and monsters.
The series tells interwoven stories of Riders growing alongside their monster partners, facing challenges such as the Black Blight calamity in the first game and unfolding mysteries surrounding Rathalos in the second.
