Creators of Lost Winds show you how it’s done

The organisers of The Edinburgh International Festival have announced that at this year’s festival creators of the Wii-Ware title, Lost Winds, will be appearing at the show to discuss in-depth how the game was made. Frontier Developments’ founder David Braben, famous for creating the brilliant space simulator Elite, and Lead Designer on Lost Winds, Steven Burgess will explain how the game gradually grew from a simple idea to the critically acclaimed game it is today.

The session is set to include a look at the concept art, character animation as well as the audio production. We have also been told there may be a few secrets revealed.

David Braben said, “I’m very excited to be taking part at Edinburgh this year with Steven – making games is a great field to work in, and the Screening lets us share some interesting details about how we do it, as well as conveying our enthusiasm for the art form and its potential.

The session will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Monday 11th August 2008.
