Microsoft admitted to the gaming world yesterday that they are fully aware of a new disc read error some gamers are experiencing. The Xbox 360 has recently changed the way it reads discs and as such is giving a number of gamers a ‘disc-unreadable’ error.
Microsoft have already commented on the problem saying, “this disc read error message is tied to a change in the disc reading algorithms in a recent software update and is not specific to older or newer versions of Xbox 360. This issue is unrelated to the upcoming release that has been in public beta.”
If the problem is that great for you Microsoft are offering a replacement console. In the mean time they have already said that they are working to fix the fault through LIVE.
