Gamers have today been given a small insight into the next Call of Duty game, all be it earlier than Activision originally planned.
The game will be a massive collaboration between Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software and Infinity Ward. It will feature 15 single player levels and 20 multiplayer maps to boot. Locations will include India, Russia, Sierra Leone, NorthAmerica, France, Dubai and much more.
The game will start where ModernWarfare 2 left off. Captain John ‘Soap’ MacTavish, Captain John Price and Nikolai are once more hunting down ultra nationalist Makarov in the midst of a Russia-US war.
The main campaign will have gamers playing as several different characters much like previous games. Playable characters will include a Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, and for those who found themselves enthralled in the role of a AC-130 gunner you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s back once more.
The site says the shooter will “reshape the landscape” for Call of Duty with “eclectic” scenarios and “deep” multiplayer.
Weapons available on release have also been released which include a AA12 shotgun, dual-scoped M4 IW5 rifle, Magpul FMG machine pistol, M320 grenade launcher, AK47, P99 pistol, RSASS sniper rifle, MP412 Russian pistol, New Striker, MP5 submachine gun and the Model 1887 shotgun.
