It seems Namco is trying to twist things up with it’s latest Ace Combat title Assault Horizon by inserting helicopters for gamers to pilot along with the usual plethora of fighter aircraft.
You won’t be fighting off other choppers or aircraft either but using the AH-64 in the role it’s best suited for, ground support. You have to locate and kill enemies weilding RPG’s and IED’s. You have to sweep clear roads of all threats be they tanks or mortars.
It may be a far cry from the usual dog fights seen in Ace Combat, but it’s a welcom change of pace that will no doubt help improve the games ratings come it’s release by the end of this year.
