Bonfire Studios has launched the Closed Beta for Arkheron exclusively for members of the Xbox Insider Program on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. The technical test is available now and will run until midnight PT on 27 July, providing players with an early opportunity to experience the game’s core PvP mechanics.
Arkheron is a team-based PvP game that emphasises flexible loadouts rather than fixed classes, with teams of three using a combination of items to define their abilities and tactics. This approach allows players to tailor their playstyle dynamically within each match.
Key Features of the Closed Beta and Gameplay
The beta focuses primarily on Spires, a compact 3v3 arena mode designed to accelerate players’ familiarity with item builds and team coordination. Alongside Spires, the competitive mode Ascension will be accessible during limited regional windows on weekends. In Ascension, 15 teams compete on a larger map to gather loot, upgrade kits, and battle their way through the Tower toward a final confrontation.
Alongside gameplay testing, the Closed Beta includes Arkheron’s first trial of cosmetic progression. Participants earn Pages by engaging in activities such as opening chests, defeating enemies, completing Challenge Rifts, and progressing through Ascension. These Pages can then be exchanged for exclusive ‘Prestige’ cosmetic items that remain available even after the beta concludes.
Participation Details and Community Engagement
Players interested in joining the beta can access Arkheron through the Xbox Insider Hub app on Xbox Series X|S or Windows PC. After signing in, navigate to the Previews section, select Arkheron Insider, and choose to join. Registration completion directs players to the store for downloading and installation.
Bonfire Studios is actively encouraging player feedback centered on combat mechanics, controls, performance, onboarding experience, and matchmaking. Feedback can be submitted via the Arkheron Forums, where developers monitor discussions and respond to community input. Additional community interaction is available through official social media channels including Discord, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
Arkheron’s Closed Beta marks the first public test phase for the game on Xbox consoles and PC, providing focused insight into its team-based PvP structure and item-driven gameplay. The beta period gives players until 27 July to participate and contribute to the game’s development.
