Since it’s release Battlefield 3 (BF3) has sold 15 millions units, with that number reaching a projected 18 million EA CEOJohn Riccitiello revealed today.
Granted this is the number of games sold to retailers and not ACTUAL sales even so John said he’s more than happy with what BF3 has achieved since release.
It has taken a good chunk out of COD’s fanbase and converted them to EA’s way of thinking and it has become one of the best selling titles in EA history.
“There will be exciting new developments for the Battlefield brand as the fiscal year for 2013 progresses,”said Mr Riccitiello.
“Battlefield 3 took [a] very significant share from the leading competitoron its way to being one of the biggest selling titles in EA history.”
