Call of Duty angers Cuba

[Minor spoilers] Video game violence is bad mmm’kay! In case you didn’t already know it Cuba has criticised Call of Duty: Black Ops as “perverse” and stimulates “sociopathic” attitudes in our children.

In the game there is a mission in which players assault a Cuban stronghold and confront Castro. From chapter of the game Cubadebate, a state-run news website, has posted an article in which they state the FPS stimulates “Sociopathic” attitudes in children.

The report goes on to state: “On the one hand, it glorifies the illegal assassination attempts the United States government planned against the Cuban leader … and on the other, it stimulates sociopathic attitudes in North American children and adolescents”.

Having failed so many times to assassinate the leader (rumoured to be over 600 attempts on his life), the report concludes that “What the United States couldn’t accomplish in more than 50 years, they are now trying to do virtually”. Well I can at least agree with the ‘trying’ part of that sentiment. Darn you Veteran difficulty!
