Code Vein II Mask of Idris DLC Launches on September 9 with New Story and Content

Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Mask of Idris DLC for Code Vein II will release on September 9, 2026. This new expansion delivers a separate story campaign alongside additional gameplay content, impacting players on all existing platforms.

The DLC introduces a narrative that explores The Forsaken World, a fractured realm shaped by temporal anomalies left by past interventions in the main story. Players will encounter two new partners—Liv Voda, a guardian of time and space wielding a halberd, and Lou Magmell, a different incarnation of a character familiar from the base game.

New Story Content and Characters in Mask of Idris

Mask of Idris extends Code Vein II’s storyline by offering a history-altering adventure that takes place within Temporal Rifts, mysterious alternate spaces formed by disrupted timelines. The centre of this area is the Spindle of Pathos, a powerful force threatening to consume the world. Players will engage with challenging new enemies and bosses as they seek to prevent this calamity.

Liv Voda enters the story as the original guardian of these rifts and fights with aggressive melee combat using her halberd. Her abilities focus on staggering enemies and bolstering attack power through coordinated attacks. Lou Magmell, distinct from her counterpart in the main game, joins the group with her own tragic backstory tied to this strange dimension.

Weapons, Formae, and Gameplay Updates

Alongside the narrative additions, the Mask of Idris DLC introduces new weapons and Formae to enhance combat options. Notable additions include the Grave Knocker Formae that enables powerful aerial shockwave attacks effective against multiple foes and the Sword of Karma, a large sword imbued with flames that offers extended combos and area damage.

Bandai Namco is also releasing a free update simultaneously with the DLC launch, which will bring extra features designed to improve the overall gameplay experience across the game.

Access to the Mask of Idris content requires certain conditions to be met in the base game, with full details available through Bandai Namco’s official channels. Players ready to explore new mechanics and story elements can look forward to the DLC’s release on September 9, 2026.
