Adhoc Studio has announced that Dispatch, the narrative-driven superhero adventure, will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming on 29 July 2026. The release will also feature full Xbox Play Anywhere support, allowing players to access the game across compatible Xbox and Windows 10/11 devices.
The announcement marks a significant expansion of Dispatch’s platform availability, following its initial success on PC and PlayStation 5. Although Dispatch’s Xbox debut is confirmed, there is currently no indication that the game will be added to Xbox Game Pass on launch.
Dispatch’s Xbox Launch Details and Play Anywhere Support
Originally announced for Xbox back in March 2026, Dispatch’s arrival on Xbox Series X|S and PC brings the critically praised superhero title to Microsoft’s ecosystem less than two weeks from now. Full Xbox Play Anywhere support means that a single purchase allows users to play on both Xbox consoles and Windows PCs seamlessly, with shared saves and cross-progression.
The title will also be available via Xbox Cloud Gaming, enabling play on a wide range of devices beyond consoles and PCs. This broad accessibility aligns with Xbox’s strategy of multi-platform availability but does not currently include integration with Xbox Game Pass, limiting immediate access to those who purchase the game separately.
Dispatch’s Narrative and Acclaim
Dispatch places players in the role of Robert Patterson, known as Mecha Man, a former superhero demoted to dispatcher duties after the destruction of his mech suit. Players manage a team of reformed supervillains turned heroes, balancing crisis response and team dynamics while working toward restoring their suit and confronting past foes.
The game’s writing team includes veterans from acclaimed narrative-driven titles such as The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands. Dispatch has garnered multiple accolades, including three BAFTA awards and recognition at the Steam Awards, reflecting its strong narrative, voice acting, and character work.
Since its release in 2025 on PC and PlayStation 5, Dispatch has sold over a million copies and received critical praise for its unique take on superhero storytelling. Its Xbox launch broadens access for players within the Xbox and Windows ecosystems.
