Sony has announced its Welcome Back Pack details for its European PSN subscribers. If you have not bought a few games over the last month/years then you are in for a treat with what downloadable games are on offer, otherwise you might feel a little short changed with Sony’s offerings of some rather old first-party titles. Let us fill you in on what will be available once the PlayStation Store kicks back into life…
All existing PlayStation Network members will be able to access the following from PlayStation Store*:
Two PS3 games from the following list:
- LittleBigPlanet
- Infamous*
- Wipeout HD/Fury
- Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
- Dead Nation*
For those with PSP accounts, you will also be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list:
- LittleBigPlanet PSP
- ModNation PSP
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation*
Additional Welcome Back Pack items:
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PS Plus subscribers*
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will be given 60 days free subscription.
- For existing Music Unlimited subscribers, you will be given 30 days free subscription.
- We are working on a Welcome Back offer in PlayStation Home and will share that when it is confirmed.
So that is the nitty-gritty of it all. However there are a few caveats to swallow…
- As soon as the store is back online users will have up to 30 days to download their chosen content from the PlayStation Store.
- New PSN subscribers that signed up after 20th April 2011 will not be eligible for these Welcome Back Pack offers.
- German members will have the stared items listed above replaced with Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings on PS3 or Everybody’s Golf 2 and Buzz Junior Jungle Party on PSP.
- Your 30 days free access to PS Plus service is only available to the countries they are available in. Access to PS Plus content planned for May will only be available and access to those free titles and exclusive features will end on the 30-day subscription period. “Anything you buy with exclusive discounts, dynamic themes and premium avatars are yours to keep forever” says Sony.
So not all bad if you have yet to grab any of the above old titles, also if you are not a member already then this is your chance to sample Sony’s PS Plus service for a month – just as long as they don’t hold back on this month’s PS Pluscontent. Let us know what 2 games you will be downloading as well as your thoughts on this Welcome Back Pack in the comments below.
