Publisher Square-Enix has announced that JRPG sequel Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be hitting North American shelves in January 2012.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 has also been penciled in for a Japanese release in December 2010 on Xbox 360 and PS3.
A European release date has yet to be announced for the highly-anticipated JRPG, but will likely mirror that of the game’s North American launch in January 2012.
The game, which takes place half a decade after the events of the original game, is the first single-entry sequel to arrive on console since FFX-2.
