One of the many quirks of my Step-Brother is his inability to watch 90 minutes of football, be it the pre-season gallavantings of our rain-sodden local team or a world-class spectacle witnessed by millions of people across the world, without deciding that he should be the manager. He’ll sit there spouting off about how he shouldn’t have subbed this guy for that guy, all the while drawing the ire of whoever happens to be sitting around at the time.
Well, now it seems there may be a productive outlet for his frustrated football mind – the less than inventively titled footy trivia game, Football Genius – The Ultimate Quiz. Set for release this Autumn, the title promises over 3,500 questions designed to pelt even the hardiest, most knowledgable fan into mental submission. Aso on offer are multiple game modes and the ability to have 4 people seeing who’ll sink their answer to the back of the net and who will come away having pinged it off the woodwork in 4-player multiplayer mode.
Warming up for an XBLA kick-off in Autumn, it’s perhaps time to get imbibing football culture through the back pages of your chosen Sunday rag.
