A patch for Gears of War 2 will be arriving this month, though no exact date has been revealed at this point. The boss of Epic, Mark Rein posted on the Gears of War forums with all the information regarding the patch.
The update will mainly fix bugs and exploits in the multi-player, something which people have been waiting for since release. The issues with invisible shields, meleeing through walls and infinite Lancer ammo will thankfully be a thing of the past. The shotgun will also be made to be more reliable in high-latency matches.
Those who quit early will receive higher penalties and respawning characters will have better protection from grenade and chainsaw attacks.
Finally a few new achievements will be added for the DLC which was December’s expensive map pack. We’ll tell you a date as soon as its announced.
