GTA Online Kortz Center Heist Arrives July 14 with New Rockstar-Themed Artworks

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA Online’s next major update, the Kortz Center Heist, will release on July 14 across all platforms. The update centres on a new art museum heist and introduces a variety of gameplay additions affecting the core online experience.

Players will be tasked with robbing the Kortz Center art museum, utilising a newly introduced art studio located in players’ mansions as a staging area for heist preparations. This involves completing multiple setup missions ahead of the final robbery. The heist offers players a choice between a loud or stealthy approach, with a notable monetary bonus awarded for completing it without triggering alarms.

New Artworks Feature References to Rockstar Franchises

The update places a strong emphasis on paintings, which players can steal during the heist and then display within their mansions. Rockstar will add new paintings weekly, providing continual content that encourages replay.

These artworks include direct nods to various Rockstar titles. Fans have identified a painting reminiscent of Roman’s death scene from GTA 4, a Wild West-themed piece evocative of Red Dead Redemption, and others featuring characters like CJ from San Andreas and Dutch from Red Dead Redemption. This creates a meta layer celebrating Rockstar’s catalogue through GTA Online content.

Additional Updates and Release Timing

Alongside the heist and new paintings, the update will introduce a selection of new vehicles available for purchase with the proceeds from the heist. Rockstar has indicated that more details about these cars will be shared closer to launch.

Given the timing, this might be the last major GTA Online update before the launch of GTA 6, which is confirmed for release in November 2026. Rockstar has not yet revealed any online components for GTA 6, meaning players can expect continued support for GTA Online into the near future, although the schedule and scope of further updates remain uncertain.

The Kortz Center Heist update will be accessible to all players on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms simultaneously on July 14, ensuring no platform exclusivity or delay. This maintains GTA Online’s cross-platform update parity consistent with Rockstar’s recent practices.

Rockstar’s decision to embed artwork referencing its broader IPs may serve both as fan service and a reflection on the franchise’s legacy ahead of the next Grand Theft Auto chapter. Players can prepare by acquiring a mansion and assembling a capable team to tackle the heist when it goes live next week.
