Apparently Pepsi are planning to release a branded limited-edition Halo 3 Mountain Dew – ’The Official drink of Master Chief?’, which will come in Citrus-Cherry flavor. This will be the first time that a soft drink has been branded for a Video Game. Pepsi’s Tag for their Limited Edition Mountain Dew is ’Game Fuel’
Above is a 20oz bottle of ’Game Fuel’ with Halo 3’s very own Master Chief. Pepsi have released this statement:
“Gaming is an important component in the marketing efforts for Mountain Dew, Our goal is to go beyond traditional advertising by creating initiatives that make the brand an integral part of the gaming experience. We have some exciting programs coming this summer.“
But the main part of this news piece isn’t just about Master Chief putting on weight with gallons of the highly sugared beverage but in fact that Pepsi have said that they expect Halo 3 Dew to release sometime in August 07 to coincide with the release of the highly anticipated Halo 3 for Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
