Meta Horizon+ Subscriptions Now Include Starter Xbox Game Pass Access

Microsoft Xbox and Meta have expanded their collaboration by integrating a starter edition of Xbox Game Pass into Meta Horizon+ subscriptions. Starting today, eligible Horizon+ subscribers in supported regions will gain access to a curated Game Pass library, alongside the existing capability to play Xbox and Game Pass titles on Meta Quest VR devices.

The new benefit offers a selection of over 50 games, including a variety of AAA and indie titles, with 10 hours of cloud gaming each month. This entry-level Game Pass experience also features Rewards for playing, enhancing engagement across the catalogue.

Details of the Starter Xbox Game Pass on Meta Horizon+

The starter edition of Xbox Game Pass available via Meta Horizon+ includes notable titles such as Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 from Bethesda Softworks, Overcooked 2 from Ghost Town Games, the backyard exploration survival game Grounded by Obsidian Entertainment, the multiplayer zombie survival DayZ from Bohemia Interactive, the cooperative first-person shooter Deep Rock Galactic, and the off-road truck simulator SnowRunner.

Meta Horizon+ is priced at $59.99 USD annually or $7.99 USD per month. Subscribers meeting regional eligibility criteria can access the Game Pass starter library immediately upon subscription activation. Meta has provided further information on the inclusion of Xbox Game Pass in Horizon+ subscriptions on its official channels.

Implications for Console and Cloud Gaming Players

This integration reinforces the ongoing partnership between Xbox and Meta, offering more flexible ways to access Xbox Game Pass content beyond traditional consoles and PC platforms. While the starter edition provides limited cloud gaming time, it represents an accessible entry point to a broad selection of Xbox games within the Meta Horizon+ ecosystem.

Existing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will continue to have full access to the complete Game Pass catalogue with unlimited cloud gaming and multiplayer features. This move appears aimed at introducing Horizon+ users to Xbox’s ecosystem, potentially enhancing cross-platform game discovery and play through VR devices and other Meta-supported hardware.

The latest update confirms the availability of this feature beginning 21 July 2026, with no additional cost beyond the standard Meta Horizon+ subscription fee.
