Microsoft’s new video game console, theXbox One, continues to face an uphill battle.
Hardcore gamers feel abandoned by the Xbox brand because Microsoft’s latest black box wants to take over your living room and do more than just play games. On the other side of the spectrum, the casual gaming audience seems like it doesn’t yet know what to make of the Xbox One and its wacky Kinect-enabled voice command system.
The Xbox One comes with a $499 price tag, $100 more than thePlayStation 4($399), which makes it an even harder sell, although it does come bundled with Kinect. Then there’s also the difficult task of removing the memory of theXbox One used game digital rights management (DRM) controversyfrom a few months ago, that turned many hardcore Xbox fans off the Xbox One.
