Mistfall Hunter, the dark fantasy action extraction ARPG from Bellring Games, launched on July 29 across Xbox Series X|S and PC. This release coincided with Day One availability on Xbox Game Pass, allowing subscribers access to the game without additional cost from launch.
The game places players in the role of Gyldhunters exploring Weavereach, a broken world corrupted by the supernatural Gyldenmist. Players choose from six classes engaging in high-stakes looting and combat against both hostile creatures and rival hunters, tasked with harvesting a resource called Gyldenblood used to repair the fractured Web of Fate.
Game Mechanics and World Setting
Mistfall Hunter combines third-person action with extraction shooter mechanics, emphasising a cycle of tension that ebbs when players successfully extract their loot back to a safe camp. The narrative is embedded within this loop, presenting an evolving world influenced by community progression as extracted Gyldenblood contributes to the restoration of the game’s world and story.
The environment itself spans diverse locations such as the fortress Brandrgarde and Hallowgrove, inhabited by multiple factions including humans, Velgr, and Lizardfolk with conflicted beliefs. The Gyldenmist is a persistent threat, with players confronting corroded monsters and other human hunters competing for resources.

The title features a season-based system that introduces new quests, events, and world mutations aligned with player achievements, fostering ongoing updates to the gameplay and narrative. This seasonal progression is designed to ensure that each extraction run impacts the wider game world.
Two editions of Mistfall Hunter are available: the Standard Edition priced at $24.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $39.99, which includes additional cosmetic options and in-game currency.
