Everyone has an Xbox Live Arcade game that they’ve been looking forward to. Whether it’s a re-make of a classic or a brand new title, we all have at least one. Mine for the last year has been Peggle and I am pleased to reveal that it could be coming very soon.
Back in September 2008, a lot of details were revealed though “no solid release date [had] been confirmed.” Bjorn Unicorn, founder and headmaster of the Peggle Institute, started a blog at the start of this month and on the blog are details of PopCap Arcade Volume 2, a retail title containing PopCap game’s best-selling Xbox Live Arcade games. The three titles include: Feeding Frenzy 2, Heavy Weapon and (yes, you guessed it) Peggle!

Whilst you’re no doubt thinking that it won’t be releasing for a while, well, it’s been dated Tuesday 31st March 2009 (American release date). Therefore, Peggle should be arriving on the Xbox Live Arcade around that time; common sense suggests sooner. The description given for Peggle is as follows:
Do you have what it takes to become a Peggle Master? Take your best shot! Conquer 55 levels by wielding 10 Magic Powers and racking up bonus points with awesome style shots. Face off against friends in four-player Xbox LIVE® multiplayer mode, and put your skills to the ultimate test in 75 Grand Master Challenges.
Whilst the actual link to the Xbox Live Arcade section of the blog simply states “Coming Soon,” I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more from Peggle sooner than you think.
