PlayStation Move revealed

Arc it may not be, but Sony announced last night at a press conference at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, that its new motion controlled device would be called the PlayStation Move.

It’ll be out in the Autumn and will cost less than $100, though a European price point has yet to be announced.

Five games are confirmed for release including Sports Champions, Move Party, LittleBigPlanet, EyePet and Motion Fighters. Two of those games are updates to the originals.

In similar vein to the Nunchuck on the Wii, the Sub-Controller will provide gamers with a joystick in your second arm to allow movement in games such as SOCOM 4 which was also revealed that it’ll work with the new device.

Third-party support has being promised from a variety of large publishers and the device is expected to launch in the Autumn. We’ll have more on Move soon.
