Monster of the casual gaming market, PopCap, has expanded its all-encompassing domination of the Xbox Live Arcade by acquiring Gastronaut Studios, the team behind XBLA titles Small Arms and Gel – Set & Match.
Small Arms, just one title to be enveloped by PopCap’s giant, iron fist.
The acquisition looks sure to put PopCap even further ahead in their market and put a little extra spice in the sauce that is their catalogue of games. Co-founder of Gastronaut Studios, Jacob Van Wingen, seems pleased with the deal: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with PopCap on their XBLA titles and we’re thrilled to be joining their team to create exciting titles that players of all stripes will love.”
