Subscribers to Sony’s Playstation Plus service are in for a pleasant surprise this weekend as they log-in to PSN to see Capcom’s newly re-released action-horror masterpiece Resident Evil 4 HD a full 50% off it’s standard price on the Playstation Network.
The game was universally praised by critics on its release in 2005, celebrated for its revival of the Resident Evil series which had hit a commercial slump of sorts. It originally saw a release on Nintendo’s Gamecube before eventually being ported to the Playstation 2. It now returns to Sony consoles with updated HD visuals optimized for 720p to 1080p displays.
For those without a Playstation Plus subscription Resident Evil 4 HD is currently priced at £15.99, but the discount brings that sum down to a very reasonable£8.00. The deal is time sensitive, however, and will end on 04/10/2011, so take advantage of this fantastic bargain as soon as you can.
