2 years. That’s the time difference between Resistance 1 and Resistance 2, which would mean Resistance 3 should be in our PlayStation 3 consoles anytime soon. Not the case however as it looks like bigwigs at Sony have given Insomniac Games a further year to create a AAA title, that title being Resistance 3 of course.
Speaking to GamesTM magazine, Insomniac Games creative director Marcus Smith revealed the news. The decision from Sony was, as Smith describes it, ‘music to our ears’. He then moves on to say that releasing an AAA title game every two years led them to ‘cram things out the door’, which no one wants to hear.
This new three year estimate will allow Insomniac Games to produce yet another outstanding title with no ‘cramming stuff in’ required.
