SEGA have served up a treat by revealing the latest instalment of the Virtua Tennis series. Similarly to Konami with the Pro Evolution Soccer series, Virtua Tennis 2009, as it will be known, will be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2009.
The game is set to include seven new stars and some legendary players and five never-seen-before mini-court games. SEGA have managed to obtain the license to the Davis Cup and also revealed a new world tour mode in which players can earn prize money from online competitions over Xbox Live and PlayStation Online.
SEGA have launched a micro-website for the title which contains some information and a miniature box art image. We’ll be dishing up more content about Virtua Tennis 2009, as we get it.
