Did you miss out on playing the Uncharted 2 online beta because you didn’t pre-order the game? Then blubber no longer, because as of 7pm tonight (Wednesday 30th Sept), the beta goes open public, allowing any PSN member to download the code from the PlayStation Store.
According to Sony’s EU blog, the preview contains four maps and a number of different play modes, including: Deathmatch, Elimination, Plunder, Chain Reaction and Co-op Gold Rush.
Interestingly the demo also features the Machinima mode to play with. Those confused about what this entails should seek out http://www.machinima.org.uk/, but to quickly summarise, it’s the creation of movies by using the graphics engine of videogames. If you’ve ever seen Red vs. Blue then you’ve watched Machinima entertainment.
The demo is available to download until October 12th, so get leeching now before you miss out, and don’t forget to let us know what you think of the multi-player experience.
