Indie games are not something we often cover on Console Monster, there are dozens of them released every week, often with little in the way of fanfare. This title though, based on the webcomic hosted at www.8bitgf.com, caught our eye.
It’s a well-known fact that every gamer is male, lonely and single. 8-bit girlfriend therefore sits perfectly as a cheap 80 MSPs alternative for all your female support.
This comedy dating game introduces a retro knight called ‘Sir Knight’ who is out to court four fantasy maidens consisting of an elf, princess, item shop girl and thief. The makers claim that it’s “Probably the closest you can get to dating Princess Peach this side of your 360.” That can’t be a bad thing.
It’s available now, but you’ll have to provide your own box of man-sized tissues.
