Reports today for a number of sources that for a short period of time yesterday Microsoft unbanned all users previously unable to play online due to modding their Xbox 360’s.
The bans for modding Microsofts console began in November of 2009 and until now remained unlifted, the biggest question is why Microsoft did this?
The ban is now back in place, but perhaps this has something to do with the PSN crisis that Sony is facing. Maybe Microsoft were testing for holes inXbox Live in an attempt to stop any future breaches from happening.
As of yet Microsoft has not commented on the issue, but we’ll keep you updated as and when we receive any new news.
