Band Hero Finds Itself a Little Marooned

Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine is suing Activision in relation to the use of his likeness in the game Band Hero.

Levine agreed to appear in Band Hero, but he believed it only to sing along to Maroon 5s ‘She Will be Loved’. In the actual game though Levine’s character can be used to sing along to songs that “would not have been chosen by him for recordings or performances”.

You can even go as far as changeing Levines voice to that of a womans, much to many a gamers amusement.

The amount being sought is currently unkown but Levine is suing for fraudulent inducement, breach of contract, violation of the common-law right of publicity and unfair business acts or practices.

Activision fell foul of this kind of thing last year when Gwen Stefani sued the gaming company.
