Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor Expansion Launches August 14 with New Story and Free Ride Content

Hangar 13 has announced the Man of Honor expansion for Mafia: The Old Country, scheduled for release on August 14. The DLC introduces two new story chapters that explore protagonist Enzo Favara’s early days with the Torrisi crime family, alongside expanded Free Ride mode content. This update is relevant to players across all platforms supporting Mafia: The Old Country.

The expansion follows Enzo as he partners with a younger Ennio Salieri, a notable figure familiar to Mafia series fans from earlier titles. Set in Sicily prior to Salieri’s rise in America, Man of Honor provides further background on his character’s earlier criminal endeavours. The story chapters are designed to deepen narrative context around familiar Mafia lore.

Expanded Free Ride Mode Features and New Challenges

Man of Honor enhances Free Ride mode by adding exclusive jobs, extreme challenges, new collectibles, and locations within the Valle Dorata map. Players will receive assignments directly from Salieri, who operates from a new warehouse in Porto Almaro. These assignments include two categories: Challenges with increased difficulty, and Jobs involving varied objectives such as tracking loot, towing valuable vehicles, or delivering fragile stolen goods.

The DLC introduces fresh mission types intended to broaden gameplay variety within the open world. Success in these tasks rewards players with in-game currency called Dinari, which can be spent on new outfits, Charms, weapons, vehicles, and horses, all exclusive to the expansion.

Unique Weapons and Collectibles Complement New Content

The Man of Honor expansion adds inventive weapons and Charms that expand strategic options. For example, the Rimbalzu throwing knife can ricochet to a second target, supporting stealth playstyles by allowing silent takedowns across multiple enemies. These additions are intended to offer alternative approaches throughout Salieri’s new missions.

Alongside weapons and missions, players can find collectible Wanted Posters featuring period-accurate mugshots of the development team. Additional activities include stunt jumps in vintage automobiles and destructible delivery trucks containing volatile cargo, all contributing to a richer Free Ride experience.

Players need to own the base Mafia: The Old Country game to access the Man of Honor expansion. Some content requires progression within the base game before unlocking the new features. The expansion will be available across supported platforms on August 14, 2026.
