Microsoft has unveiled the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for September 2026, featuring notable titles like Dune: Awakening, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and Gears of War: E-Day. These new releases are rolling out primarily for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC subscribers, expanding the service’s library across cloud, console, handheld, and PC platforms.
Dune: Awakening, a survival RPG based on the Dune universe, will be available on September 22 for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC users. The game supports various devices, including cloud streaming and Xbox Series X/S, providing flexible access across Microsoft’s ecosystem.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 will launch for PC and Ultimate subscribers on September 29, with Gears of War: E-Day following shortly on October 6. Both titles mark day-one additions to the service and are offered across console, handheld, cloud, and PC platforms, reinforcing Game Pass’s commitment to providing new releases on launch day.
Additional titles expanding Xbox Game Pass library
Other notable games arriving this month on Game Pass Premium include Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Ninja Gaiden 4. Keeper, which is also releasing on PlayStation 5, is another new entry available to Premium members. These games support a broad range of platforms, including cloud, Xbox Series X/S, handheld devices, and PC, further enhancing the already diverse selection available to subscribers.
The September Wave 2 lineup also adds unique indie and genre-spanning titles such as Ultimate Sheep Raccoon, Routine, Kernel Hearts, Well Dweller, and Mad King Redemption. These cater to various player preferences, offering everything from action RPG roguelikes to sci-fi horror and 2.5D beat ’em ups.
Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in September
Microsoft has also confirmed that several titles will be removed from Game Pass on September 30. This includes Atomfall, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition, Little Rocket Lab, Sifu, SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato, Sworn, Terminull Brigade, and others. Players interested in these games should ensure they complete them before they depart the service.
This batch of additions and removals continues the pattern of monthly refreshes typical of Xbox Game Pass, reflecting Microsoft’s focus on maintaining a dynamic and extensive catalogue across Xbox consoles and PC.
