Microsoft has announced the rollout of the Xbox app on Hisense and VIDAA OS-powered smart TVs from 2024 to 2026 models. This update allows Xbox Game Pass subscribers to stream games directly to supported TVs without the need for a dedicated console.
The Xbox app is being introduced to VIDAA OS 9.6 and later versions, enabling players with compatible Hisense TVs to access a broad selection of Game Pass titles. Streaming requires a matching Bluetooth-enabled controller, which can include Xbox Wireless Controllers, the Xbox Adaptive Controller, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, as well as PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers.

Streaming Xbox Games on Smart TVs
With a current Xbox Game Pass subscription—including Ultimate, Premium, or Essential plans—players can stream hundreds of games directly on their smart TVs. The available game library varies based on region, device, and subscription tier. Progress in games is synchronised across devices, allowing users to continue playing on consoles, PCs, or other supported platforms.
Besides Game Pass titles, subscribers can also stream supported games they already own independently of the Game Pass catalog. Access to the Xbox app is gradually expanding as VIDAA OS updates reach additional models and regions.
Requirements and Setup Process
To access the Xbox app on VIDAA OS smart TVs, users must update their televisions to VIDAA OS version 9.6 or higher. Once updated, the Xbox app will appear on the Home Page or in the “Games” section of the menu bar. Players then need to sign into their Xbox account and connect a compatible Bluetooth controller.
Microsoft highlights the need for a reliable high-speed internet connection to ensure stable cloud streaming and responsiveness. Players seeking more information on TV compatibility or updates can contact VIDAA support.
This expansion reflects Microsoft’s continued effort to bring Xbox gaming to a wider range of devices, providing an option for players without access to physical consoles. It enables Xbox Game Pass members to access cloud gaming through devices they already own, including VIDAA OS smart TVs from Hisense and other manufacturers.
