Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Coming to PS5 on October 8

Saber Interactive has announced that Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival will launch on PlayStation 5 on October 8, 2026. The game introduces players to a fresh horror experience centred around Clive Barker’s unique mythology, built over more than four years by the development team.

The story follows Aidan Lynch, who encounters the Cenobites—villainous figures from another realm—after his girlfriend Sunny activates the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box. This action leads to a violent encounter where Sunny is torn apart, setting Aidan on a path to retrieve her soul, with the Cenobites playing a key role in this quest.

New Enemies and Gameplay Mechanics

Alongside the Cenobites, players will confront the Scarlet Church, a cult led by a character named Marlowe who aims to use the Genesis Configuration to establish a debauched paradise. In addition, hostile creatures called the Unworthy, former seekers of transcendence rejected by Leviathan—the Cenobites’ creator—will attempt to stop Aidan.

Combat in Hellraiser: Revival involves dual-wielding weapons and powers granted by the Genesis Configuration. Players can engage enemies using these tools and manage encounters strategically, including evasive maneuvers such as turning off a flashlight or fleeing when overwhelmed.

Platform Availability and Release Details

The game will be available both digitally and on physical media for PlayStation 5. The announcement currently does not confirm releases on other platforms such as Xbox or Nintendo consoles.

Hellraiser: Revival aims to deliver a horror experience that reflects the series’ themes of extreme sensations, pain, and pleasure, as emphasised by the development team. It arrives in the latter half of 2026, expanding the catalogue of horror titles on PS5.
